Allen graduated with an honours degree in materials science and engineering in the UK. On completion of his master's degree in materials and chemical engineering, Allen began his IP career in 2000 with one of the major IP firms in New Zealand and relocated to Sydney in 2003 to join a top-tier Australian law firm. Prior to joining Wallington-Dummer in 2024, Allen worked at a significant boutique firm for more than 17 years, 13 of which were as a Partner and Director.
Allen has significant experience in assisting and advising local and international clients on patent procurement, validity, infringement, oppositions, due diligence, portfolio management, design protection and trademark protection.
